Efforts to make Corona vaccine in India intensify, fund approval for three companies

The biotechnology department will fund these companies to make the COVID-19 vaccine. The department said in a statement that in addition to these 13 other proposals have been approved for Corona's diagnostics, therapeutics, and many other works. For this, their funding is being done under the National Biopharma Mission.

Cadila Healthcare, Bharat Biotech International (BBIL) and Serum Institute of India (SIIPL) are all set to make corona vaccines. The Central Government Department of Biotechnology has sanctioned funds for this three companies-institute.

What did the department say?
The department said that a multi-faceted approach is being adopted to ensure that vaccine companies using different platforms and working at different stages can work faster under a research consortium. For this, their funding is being done under the National Biopharma Mission. This mission was started in the year 2017 for the development of medicines and vaccines in the country.
Despite the efforts of many countries in the world, the corona vaccine has not yet been made. It is believed that it will take at least a year to develop its vaccine completely. America is the most active in this, where loud efforts are being made to develop the corona vaccine.
